My name is Mukul Singh, and I’m the founder of CloudSide Accounting.

I graduated from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba with a major in Accounting and Finance.. After graduation, I began my career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where I worked with large public companies. While that experience gave me a solid technical foundation, I knew early on that I wanted something different—work that felt closer to the realities of small local business—so I left PwC and joined a smaller firm to get hands-on experience with local small businesses.

I eventually completed my CA designation there (now called CPA), and soon after, I made the decision to leave public practice and pursue my own entrepreneurial path. I explored a few different ventures, but it was in ecommerce where I found both traction and long-term success.

Today, I operate a multi–seven-figure ecommerce brand with over 250 SKUs with domestic inventory in five countries. Running this business has given me deep experience in areas that go far beyond accounting—supply chain management, hiring and leading teams, navigating compliance across borders, and building operational systems that scale.

Along my journey, I hit several milestones that I’m proud of. I was fortunate to have gotten one of my brands into 21 Costco retail stores across California, and I’ve been approached multiple times by private equity firms expressing interest in acquiring one of my brands.

So why decide to start CloudSide Accounting?

It kinda started by accident…
